  1. I’ve been telling my mother for years that her weekend bag isn’t going to last much longer. Now, I can solve the problem for her with the very stylish Oxford Weekend Holdall.

  2. My mother will be the first to admit that she isn’t the most organised of people so I’m hoping that the technology case will help her when she’s on the road.

    1. Being able to keep wires, etc. tidy when you travel is a god-send. Delving into your bag to retrieve something, only to find that it’s tangled with a mass of wires, can be a real faff sometimes! Much better to be neat and organised. 🙂

  3. Now that I hardly ever go shopping I can easily miss Mother’s Day. Thanks for reminding me, I could easily have left it too late.

    1. You’re welcome, Ted…! I know what you mean, if you don’t go into physical shops so often, it’s easy to miss out on little reminders you might have normally had.

  4. I can’t imagine my mother on a safari, far too hot and dusty for her, but I can see her in a safari suit when it’s that stylish.

  5. If I get those Hula Slides to my mother on time she won’t have to wait for Med temperatures to try them out.

She flies to the Seychelles next week and I can see her wearing them a lot then. The advantages of early retirement.

  6. Some pricey gifts here but can you put a price on a mother’s countless hours of love and devotion? Writes a mother of 3 children optimistically.

  7. A friend wears that Jo Malone scent of Pears and Freesia and it really is a quintessential aroma of the English summer.

  8. Don’t knock chocolates and flowers, they’ve been my go to Mothers Day gifts for years.

Though I get that mothers deserve something special, especially mine, she’s had a lot to put up with.

  9. The Boucle Bag has caught my eye. Now all I’ve got to do is persuade my brood to club together to buy it for Mother’s Day for me.

  10. My mother is planning to retire in the summer and then take some of the longer journeys that she’s always longed for. She also says that now she’s got more time to sit back and reflect on these trips she wants to keep a diary to remind her of these travels. Giving her the journal would help her on her way.

    1. Great idea, Eileen. If she enjoys writing about travel, tell her also to get in touch if she’d like to share her adventures with a wider audience! 🙂

  11. The Summer Kit isn’t just a Mothers Day gift it’s a sign that warmer days are finally on their way. So often Mothers Day marks the real beginning of some better weather.

  12. Never mind Mother’s Day. Any lady would be absolutely delighted to receive the Longines Elegant Collection watch on any day of the year.

  13. A lot of people love the Jo Malone range and my nose tells me that the English Pear and Freesia is probably the most popular of all their scents. It’s a remarkable story of kitchen table experiments to international brand.

    1. Yes, I think I read somewhere that JM left the company and now has her own luxury vacation rental business in Wales (but I could be wrong on that). Regardless, her name continues as a leading London brand.

  14. I had Mother’s Day in my diary and it still managed to creep up on me. Once again thanks for some great pressie suggestions. I think I’ll have one happy mother come Sunday and also for her birthday in May too.

  15. Everyone should have a technology case. It’s so useful for keeping hold of all those essential bits and bobs that you can’t live without.

  16. Yet again an Yfamily Travel Blog gift guide has got me out of trouble!

Yes, I know that I’ve left it late.

  17. My mother would probably love the Hula Slide. The thing is that she’s so fastidious about her appearance that I won’t go ahead until I’ve checked that they fit with her image for the 2025 Summer Season.

  18. Writing for her own pleasure has always been one of my mother’s hobbies and now that she’s dropped down to part-time work she seems to be taking writing up her travels more seriously. A beautiful journal would give her a nice boost.

    1. As I said to Eileen above, do please inviting any budding travel writers to contact us if they’d like to share their experiences with Yfamily Travel Blog! 🙂

  19. If this is the standard of gifts I can expect then I can’t wait to become a Mum. I might have to wait a bit as my first baby isn’t due until the end of June.

I’m hoping that her Dad will take over Mother’s Day buying duties for the first few years. He should know my expensive tastes by now …

  20. Mother’s Day all wrapped up. Thanks for the inspiration. Will you be helping me out when it comes to Father’s Day too?
